Find the right fit

A purpose for
every piece of kit.

You do not need everything here. Use the guide to identify what belongs in your setup, what you already have and what can wait.

01 / Equipment guide

Speed measurement

Start with the number your training is designed to change. Choose a measuring tool around your practice setup and the data you want to track.

Before you choose

Check that the exact model measures clubhead speed in the way you intend to practise, including ball-free swings if they are part of your plan.

The Stack System

Stack Radar

Why I recommend it
Tracks swing speed, including ball-free swings, plus ball speed when hitting shots. Connects to TheStack app by Bluetooth for supported training features.
Who it suits
Golfers who want portable speed feedback during practice, or a compatible speed-measuring device to use with TheStack Speed Trainer.
Worth knowing
Carry distance is estimated. Check phone compatibility and app-access terms with TheStack. Purchased separately from your SSL membership.

Speed-training tools

Give each tool a clear role in your speed work. The right choice should fit your programme, training experience and available space.

Before you choose

Look at the loading options, setup instructions and swing-clearance requirements. Match the equipment to your plan before buying.

Who it suits
Golfers who want to follow a dedicated speed-training routine and have enough space to practise full swings.

03 / Equipment guide

Strength & power

Build your setup around the exercises in your programme. Start with the equipment you already have access to at home or in the gym.

Before you choose

Confirm the loads, floor space and gym access your plan needs. Choose equipment for the work you will actually do, rather than a complete home-gym wish list.

04 / Equipment guide

Movement & warm-up

Keep the small things purposeful. A simple setup can make it easier to follow the movement and warm-up work in your plan consistently.

Before you choose

Choose accessories for the movements you have been given. A mat, band or mobility tool should have a defined job in your routine.

More context. Better choices.

A recommendation
should explain why.

  1. 01

    A clear job

What the equipment is for and where it fits within a training or testing setup.

  2. 02

    The right person

Who it suits, with your experience, space, existing equipment and budget in mind.

  3. 03

    The full context

Practical limitations, things to check before buying and a clear label wherever a link earns SSL commission.

Useful to know

Before you buy.

Do I need to buy equipment before my assessment?

Start with the assessment and tell Josh what you already own or can access. Your results help identify the priority; equipment choices can follow once you know what you are working towards.

Am I buying from The Swing Speed Lab?

This is an equipment guide, not an SSL shop. Retailer links take you to the retailer's own website, where you can check the current price, stock, delivery and returns terms before purchasing.

What does an affiliate link mean?

An affiliate link lets a retailer attribute a qualifying purchase to SSL and pay SSL a commission. Affiliate recommendations and links are marked “Ad — affiliate link” so the commercial relationship is clear before you click. Read the ASA's explanation of affiliate advertising.

How do I know which equipment is right for me?

Share your goal, budget, training space and current setup with Josh. If you are an SSL member, use your programme as the starting point so each purchase has a role in the work you are doing.

Make it personal
